Degas Dancer Pin Badge - Gold Plated

Edgar Degas (19 July 1834 - 27 September 1917) was a French artist famous for his paintings, sculptures, prints and drawings. He is especially identified with the subject of dance and is regarded as one of the founders of Impressionism. He was a superb draftsman, and particularly masterly in depicting movement.

Degas continued working as late as 1912, when he was forced to leave his studio on the rue Victor Massť, Paris. He died five years later in 1917.

This Degas Dancer is made from gold plated pewter and is supplied on a pin with clasp. The information card gives a brief outline of Edgar Degas life as an artist.
