Charles I (1600-49) was King of England and Scotland (1625-49). His disagreements with Parliament led to the English Civil War (1642-48). In 1649 Charles was summarily tried for treason and executed.
The reproduction Charles I sixpence is made from lead-free pewter. On the obverse is the bust of Charles I and on the reverse is an oval shield with the royal coat of arms.
The coin, held in a clear blister, is supplied on a card that has the image of Chales I on the front and the timeline of Charles I from his birth in 1600, through to his execution in 1649.
