In early Medieval times the only people wealthy enough to afford jewels and fine metals were Royalty and the nobility who wore gold, silver and precious gems. Lesser nobles wore base metals such as copper or pewter.
Later on with the expansion of trade more people could afford jewellery. This pushed the richer classes to wear more extravagant pieces.
This Medieval Cross Pendant is made from lead-free pewter and is supplied on a silver chain. The information card is full colour on the front and has historical information on the reverse.
