This medal was awarded for operational service on land in Italy, Sicily, Greece, Yugoslavia, the Aegean area and Dodecanese islands, Crosica, Sardinia and Elba at any time between 11th June 1943 and 8th May 1945.

This reproduction Italy Star medal is made from 22ct gold plated lead-free pewter. It is supplied on a red, white and green ribbon attached to a card with an image of a Sherman tank on the front and historical information on the reverse.
