The Stuker dive-bomber was armed
with 3 x 7.92mm machine guns and up to 1000kg of bombs. During the first
phase of the Battle of Britain the Stuka was used to bomb shipping in the
English Channel. On August 11th during the second phase, they were used to
bomb airfields, radar stations on the south coast and shipping in the
channel again. The plane is 96mm
wide and is manufactured in traditional pewter.
The
cardboard box has black and white images of Battle of Britain planes
'in action' with a clear PVC panel on the front and historical information on the back.
