Pontius Pilate was the Roman governor in Judea
in A.D.26 - 27. He was cruel and unpopular and had little regard for Jewish
feelings. He ordered his soldiers to take Jesus away to be crucified. Jesus
was nailed to a wooden cross where he died. The cross is the chief symbol of Christianity
and is often depicted in Christian art. It showed that Jesus died to make
God's forgiveness and new life possible. The pendant is 40mm tall and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter. The pendant is supplied with either a red
or blue stone. Supplied on a silver chain.
The
card has a colour image of a stained glass window of a cross on the front and historical information on the back.
