The
Civil War (1642-48) was fought between the forces of King Charles I and
those of the English parliament. The war took place in two parts. The first
lasted from 1642-1646, the second from April to November, 1648. It led to
the execution of Charles I in 1649 outside Whitehall, London. There were
many famous battles during the Civil war: Edghill (1642), Marston Moor
(1644), Naseby (1645), Preston (1648).
The
4cm tall figure is packaged in a full colour box with an image of roundheads preparing for battle
on the front and a battle scene on the back together with images of each of
the 5 figures to collect.
