In
Roman and Greek times dolphins and other sea creatures were very popular.
They appeared on art, architecture, mosaics and jewellery. Dolphins were a
favourite as they were attributed to the Roman water god, Neptune and the
Greek god of the sea Poseidon. The pendant is 20mm tall and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter. Supplied on a silver chain.
The
card is colour depicting a mosaic of Roman sea beasts on the front and
historical information on the back.
