Across the Roman and Greek
empires people worshipped hundreds of different gods, goddesses, demi gods
and spirits. Their images would appear on architecture, household items and
jewellery. Our ring is decorated with a dolphin which was attributed to the
Roman water god, Neptune and later the Greek god of sea, Poseidon. The ring is
16mm diameter, expandable and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter.
The
card has a colour image depicting a Roman Mosaic from St. Albans Museum,
Herts on the front and historical information on the back.
