Skilled metal workers created
intricately designed jewellery which would have been worn by both men and
women. Most early jewellery was made from lead alloys and bronze and only
the wealthy could afford such pieces made from gold and silver. The twisted
pair of metal strands was popular in Viking and Medieval times and still
popular today. The ring is 15mm diameter, expandable and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter and gold plated.
The
card has a colour image depicting a medieval scene on the front and historical information on the back.
