Elizabeth I Gem Ring - Pewter

Elizabeth I Gem Ring - Pewter

In Tudor times the most common type of jewellery were rings, brooches, bracelets, necklace and earrings. These were made from gold, silver and bronze. Precious stones were also very fashionable and these included rubies, emeralds, pearls and sapphires. These stones were set in heavy pendants, rings and on chains worn around the neck. Rings were worn on all fingers including the thumb. The ring is 16mm diameter, expandable and is manufactured in traditional lead-free pewter. It is supplied with either a red, green or blue stone.

The card has a colour image depicting a portrait of Elizabeth I on the front and historical information on the back.
