Horus
was an Egyptian sky god in the form of a falcon whose right eye was the sun
and his left eye the moon. According to myth, in a fight to defeat Setekh of
Ombos, Horus' moon eye was damaged and healed be the god Thoth, but from
then onwards the moon appeared at night in broken pieces. The 3.4cm tall mini bronze is made of a base white metal and
bronze plated.
The
mini bronze is supplied in a clear acetate box with an insert showing an
image of Horus and historical information.
