The
word 'knight' means 'mounted warrior'. By the 1100s a code of chivalry had
been developed by which knights were expected to defend his Christian faith,
to behave honourably towards his enemies and to protect the weak and poor.
By the 1200s the landscape was dominated by knight's castles. In the 11th and 12th century large numbers of knights left Europe on
Crusade in the name of Christianity.
The
4cm tall figures are packaged in a full colour box with an image of knights
jousting on the front and a battle scene on the back.
