This
finger ring would have been given as a gift of love. It is inscribed inside
with the words 'amore vole fe' which translated means 'Love cannot exist
without fidelity'. The ring is 16mm internal diameter, expandable and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter.
The
card has a colour image depicting a portrait of Mary I Queen of England
between 1553 and 1558 on the front and historical information on the back.
