During
the ice age glaciers advanced and retreated several times over large areas
of the earth. Huge lumbering Mammoths and Woolly Rhinoceroses roamed the
frozen lands. Their thick, shaggy costs helped them adapt to the cold. Many
kinds of prehistoric mammals had become extinct by the time the last
glaciers retreated some 10,000 years ago. The pendant is 29mm in diameter and is manufactured
from bone. Supplied with wax cord.
The
card has a colour image depicting a woolly mammoth in the snow on the front and historical information on the back.
