To
Celtic people, the boar was a symbol of fearlessness. Some myths portrayed
them as fierce quarry who led their hunters to the Otherworld. Tacitus
reported that a Celtic tribe in Germany wore amulets of the wild boar to
protect themselves in battle. This 3.5cm wide mini bronze is made of a base white metal and
bronze plated.
The
mini bronze is supplied in a clear acetate box with an insert supplying historical information.
