This Signifer
is wearing a dagged
mail shirt (lorica hamata) over a tunic instead of segmental armour. A sword
of the 'Pompeii' type is worn on his right side, suspended from a leather
baldric. Animal skins were worn over the helmet with bearskins being popular
with legionaries and feline pelts with Praetorians. His standard is
decorated with silver and gilt bronze plaques and figures and he has a small
round shield, for protection, on his back. This 8.5cm tall Roman is made of resin and is hand painted.
The
Roman is supplied in white box with front image and is supplied with
historical information.
