This
5cm tall Anglo-Saxon warrior was representative of the upper classes of the time. He
wears a helmet similar to that found at Coppergate, York and is armed with a
scramasax (short-sword) and has mail as armour for the upper body. This
style of helm was soon to be superseded by Viking styles. This figure is
made of lead free pewter.
The box design
shows a number of historical artefacts including swords, spears and a number
of heraldry designs. Historical information is supplied.
