This 5.3cm tall centurion is armed with a short-sword (gladius) and a dagger (pugio). The leg armour (greaves) signifies his rank. The Legion II Augusta became established at Caerleon in the early 1st Century A.D. The helmet has no crest but plumes instead. This figure is made of lead free pewter.

 

The box design shows a number of historical artefacts including swords, spears and a number of heraldry designs. Historical information is supplied.
