During
the 16th century there were many different coins in circulation. They were
the gold ryal, gold angel, crowns, half-crowns, groats, half-groats,
sixpences and farthings. During the mid-16th century, a common labourer
would make around one shilling a day. The coin on this pendant is a
reproduction Elizabeth I Sixpence. Supplied on a waxed cord.
The
card has a colour image depicting the Armada portrait of Queen Elizabeth I on the front and historical information on the back.
