The
body defence of scales is called a lorica plumata because the pine scales
resemble feathers. He is wearing leather upper arm and kilt defences (pteryges),
for protection, over a tunic. Although eagle bearers were usually bare
headed it might be expected for them to wear a helmet in combat. His weapons
are a sword (gladius) and a dagger. This 13cm tall Roman is made of resin and is hand painted.
The
Roman is supplied in white box with front image and is supplied with
historical information.
