This
signifer is armed with a sword (gladius) and a dagger. He is wearing a mail
hauberk and has strips of leather as protection of his thighs and upper arms
(pteryges). His masked helmet is very similar to the bronze cavalry sports
helmets. Animal skins were worn over
the helmet with bearskins being popular. He is carrying the century standard
(signum) and has a
small round shield, for protection, on his back. This 13.5cm tall Roman is made of resin and is hand painted.
The
Roman is supplied in white box with front image and is supplied with
historical information.
