In 43
AD the emperor Claudius led the invasion of Britain. The Roman army landed
in Kent and there was a big battle at the River Medway where the British
were thrown back. The Roman army then went on to conquer Colchester and
defeated the British in the south east of England. The Ninth and Fourteenth
legions then marched north and west and conquered most of what we now call
England and Wales.
The
4cm tall figure is packaged in a full colour box with an image of the
Colosseum on the front and a battle scene on the back together with each of
