The Medieval equivalent of our
modern bangle was made in copper, silver or gold and resembled this
bracelet. Similar designs were also worn in Roman times and have been a
varied style of adornment for over 2000 years. The bracelet is 56mm in
diameter across and is manufactured from ferrous material
that is gold plated.
The
card has a colour image depicting the siege of Dover Castle, 1216 on the front and historical information on the back.
