The
Vikings loved bright ornaments. They had metal workers who were highly
skilled at the intricate decoration of jewellery. Men and women wore
brooches, rings, necklaces and arm rings made from silver, gold, bronze and
lead alloys. This boat design is inspired by a Viking boar carved on a stone
found at Lillejars in Sweden. The pendant is 25mm tall and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter. Supplied on a silver chain.
The
card has a colour image depicting a painting of Vikings in a ship on the front and historical information on the back.
