The
Vikings loved bright ornaments. They had metal workers who were highly
skilled at the intricate decoration of jewellery. Men and women wore
brooches, rings, necklaces and arm rings made from silver, gold, bronze and
lead alloys. The Vikings would carve ornate patterns on the prow and stern of
their boats. These carvings included dragon heads and other mythical beasts.
The pendant is 41mm tall and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter and gold plated. Supplied on a gold plated chain.
The
card has a colour image depicting a painting of Vikings in a ship on the front and historical information on the back.
