Owls
are able to see in daylight but their eyes are especially adapted to seeing
partial darkness. Most owls spend the day sleeping in caves, hollow trees,
and other secluded places. They have round, forward-looking eyes, a sharp
hooked beak, and acute hearing and vision. Their plumage is so soft and
fluffy that they are almost noiseless in flight. The pendant is 35mm
wide and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter that is gold plated.
The
card has a colour image depicting a Barn Owl on the front and
educational information on the back.
