The
Grey Squirrel was introduced to Great Britain in the mid-19th century after
many releases it began to increase dramatically in numbers. It is diurnal
and most active during dawn and dusk, searching for available food. Its diet
comprises of hazelnuts, acorns, beech mast, tree bark, flowers, bird's eggs
and young. The pendant is 32mm wide and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter.
The
card has a colour image depicting a Grey Squirrel on the front and
educational information on the back.
