A copy
of a man's gold seal-ring with the monogram 'W.S.' entwined with a lovers'
knot. The original ring was found in 1810 near Holy Trinity churchyard,
Stratford-upon-Avon. It is tempting to speculate that this ring belonged to
Shakespeare but such an attribution cannot be proved, although the ring is
certainly of the type that was worn by an Elizabethan gentleman. The ring is
17mm diameter, expandable and is manufactured in traditional
lead-free pewter and gold plated.
The
card has a colour image depicting a portrait of William Shakespeare on the front and historical information on the back.
