Scottish Claymore Sword c.1620 - Letter Opener Product History |
This two-handed sword is the true Scottish Claymore, the great double-edged broadsword used by Scottish Highlanders from the 15th to the early 17th Century. The name is also wrongly applied to the single-edged basket-hilted sword adopted in the 16th Century and still worn as the full-dress sword in the Highland Regiments of the British Army. |
