Product History

Cavalry Officer      Information Card - Front

The Roman Cavalry were the highly mobile shock forces of the army who were trained to cover up to 50 miles per day and fight.

This figure is wearing a helmet of Gallic style which had an under lying iron skull made in two halves. His corslelet is an example of lamellar armour which was made from narrow metal plates laid vertically and laced together with rawhide thongs. This style of armour was used by the Romans mainly after the 2nd century. The officer's sword had a double fluted blade with a hilt made of elephant ivory.

Also available singly in a polythene bag.
