Product History

This wonderful turtle weight dates from the 18th - 19th Dynasties (New Kingdom approx. 14th C. - 11th C. B.C.) and is moulded from the original at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. Bronze Animal weights were commonly used at this time to weigh gold amongst other items.
