|
Cornucopia - A Cornucopia, or the Horn Of Plenty, is attributed to Ceres the classical goddess of agriculture as well as Autumn - one of the four seasons. Dolphin Pendant - In classical Roman and Greek times the dolphin was the attribute to Neptune, god of the sea. Images of dolphins are also found on Roman pottery and mosaics. Denarius Of Caesar - The front of our pendant, a silver denarius, depicts an elephant and serpent representing Caesar's conquest of Gaul (France). The reverse illustrates sacrificial implements publicising his office as Chief Priest. |
