Ewenni Love Ring - Pewter Product History |

Most early jewellery was made from lead alloys and bronze and only the wealthy could afford such pieces made from gold and silver. This ring is reproduced from the original 15th century gold posy ring on display in the National Museum of Wales. The ring was found near Ewenni Priory, Glamorgan and is engraved with "+ ieme la bella" (love is beautiful). |
