Medieval Bracelet - Silver Finish

Product History

The Medieval equivalent of our modern bangle was made in copper, silver or gold and resembled this bracelet. Similar designs were also worn in Roman times and have been a varied style of adornment for over 2000 years.

During the civil war between King John and his barons, Louis, son of the King of France was invited to be the rebel leader and to capture the English throne. In 1216, Louis and his forces landed at Kent and rapidly gained control of most of south-eastern England. The image on the front of this pack is of the siege of Dover Castle, 1216, that ended in truce.
