Information: During medieval times rings could be worn as a sign of faith, an amulet or to signify love. Skilled metal workers created rings that were made from lead alloys and bronze with only the wealthy affording such pieces made from gold and silver and adorned with precious stones.

Popular ring designs included the Double Twist ring, made from a twisted pair of metal strands. The Clasped Hand ring representing the joining of hands as friendship or marriage. The Poesy ring with their inscriptions, such as the love ring found near Ewenny Priory.
